Championship East Meadow Team Honored By Mangano
The girls team was honored for taking home the gold in their softball division.
Nassau County Executive Edward P. Mangano congratulated the East Meadow High School Girls Softball Team on winning the 2017 New York State High School Championship. Mangano presented the team with a citation honoring them for their victory at La Piazzetta Café in East Meadow on Wednesday.
"Congratulations to the East Meadow High School Girls Softball Team on their impressive championship victory this year," Mangano said. "It takes tremendous dedication, commitment and hard work from your teammates and coaches to become New York State Champs! Each and every one of you should be proud of your hard work and accomplishments, both on the field and off."
