Cops: Assisted Living Employee Stole from Patient

The woman stole cash from a patient while administering meds in the East Meadow home, cops said.

A woman faces charges for stealing cash from a patient while she was administering medication in an East Meadow assisted living home, according to Nassau County Police.

Cops said Adassa Clark, 61, of Hempstead, stole cash from the pocketbook of a 90-year-old woman who was a patient at Bristol Assisted Living.

Clark was working as a med-tech in the home, located at 40 Merrick Avenue, when she was taken into custody Monday, police said.

Clark was charged with first-degree endangering an incompetent person and petty larceny. She will be arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead.
