Councilman Gary Hudes recently took his oath of office to continue serving the Town of Hempstead's sixth councilmatic district.
Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray did the honors during a recent induction ceremony held at the Nathan L. H. Bennett Pavilion in Hempstead.
Hudes has served as councilman since July 1999. He and his wife, Sheree, have three children.
