East Meadow Residents to Study Abroad This Winter
Emily Ilson will study in Panama; Lauren Meade will travel to Australia and Hawaii; and Joshua Vogel will study in Australia and New Zealand.

Three East Meadow residents will study abroad this winter through the University of Delaware's academic program.
Emily Ilson will study in Panama; Lauren Meade will travel to Australia and Hawaii; and Joshua Vogel will study in Australia and New Zealand.
Ilson, Meade and Vogel are among 1,000+ UD students traveling to 24 different countries as part of 50 different programs spanning 39 academic subjects. They will pursue up to seven academic credits during five weeks of study.
Approximately 35 percent of the University of Delaware's undergraduate students study outside of the U.S. on an annual basis; the winter session is the most popular time to do so, according to university officials.
This year marked the 90th anniversary of the university's program, considered the first in America when eight students set sail to France in 1923.
