Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Long Island

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for Long Island. Thunderstorms Monday afternoon may be capable of producing damaging winds.

The full forecast:

Monday Afternoon- A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, and heavy rain. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Southeast wind around 10 mph.

Monday Night- A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 69. Southeast wind around 9 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Tuesday- A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Southeast wind 8 to 11 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tuesday Night- A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 72. South wind 7 to 10 mph.

Wednesday- A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. South wind 7 to 11 mph.

Wednesday Night- Partly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Thursday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 88.

Thursday Night- Mostly cloudy, with a low around 73.

Friday- Partly sunny, with a high near 86.
