Hour-By-Hour Long Island Nor'easter Forecast

The Tuesday morning commute promises to be an absolute mess as yet another nor'easter gets set to strike Long Island.

Here's the latest on advisories/warnings:

• A winter weather advisory is in effect for Nassau County from midnight until noon Tuesday. A total of 4-6 inches of snow is expected.
• A winter storm warning is in effect for western Suffolk County from midnight until 6 p.m. Tuesday. A total of 6-8 inches of snow is expected.
• A winter storm warning is in effect for eastern Suffolk County from 8 p.m. Monday until 6 p.m. Tuesday. A total of 8-12 inches of snow is expected.

Snowfall rates of an inch or more per hour are likely during the overnight hours in Suffolk County. The East End could see more than two inches an hour at times.
