"This Islanders Girls Hockey Academy offers a free, exciting opportunity to girls aged 10 and under that provides benefits on and off the ice. From developing team-building skills to sharpening one’s ability to think quickly, and cardiovascular benefits to increasing one’s strength and abilities, this is a well-rounded program for Nassau’s youth."
The Islanders Girls Hockey Academy is offered at no cost and no prior hockey experience is required. Once fully operational, the program with add to the already blossoming number of girls playing hockey in the community by more than 40 percent.
