Friday's Long Island Snow Totals, Major Winter Storm Possible Next Week
A half foot of snow was recorded on parts of the island Friday, but a whole lot more may be coming next week.

Friday's snowstorm may have seemed a bit underwhelming, but unofficial snowfall totals reported for several towns are pretty much in line with the final predictions from the National Weather Service.
All attention will now turn to a "strong coastal storm" that is forecast to impact the area Monday night into Tuesday night. A hazardous weather outlook has already been issued ahead of the storm, which could produce significant snowfall, strong winds and possible coastal flooding, the NWS says.
