Masked Men Rob Nassau Convenience Store At Knifepoint

Police say one man threatened a store employee while the other stole cash from the register. Then they both fled.

UNIONDALE, NY — Nassau County police are searching for two masked men who robbed a convenience store in Uniondale at knifepoint early Monday morning.

According to police, the two men entered the Food Mart at 510 Uniondale Ave. at 3:13 a.m. One of the men, who was armed with a large butcher knife, went up to a 22-year-old man who was stocking shelves and told him to sit down and put his hands on his head, which he did. The other robber went directly to the cash register and took cash. Both men then fled on foot west on Hempstead Boulevard.

The man with the knife is described as having a medium build and wearing blue surgical gloves, a red full-face ski mask, a gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants and sneakers. The second man also had a medium build and was wearing blue surgical gloves, a black full-face ski mask, hooded sweatshirt and sneakers, and gray pants. No further description is available.
