Update 10:30 p.m.: Nassau County Police report Bria Francis has been located. No other information has been released at this time.

Police are searching for a North Bellmore woman who was last seen at Nassau University Medical Center (NUMC) Monday afternoon.

Detectives have issued a Silver Alert for Bria Francis, 18, who was last spotted at NUMC in East Meadow at 3:30 p.m. wearing gray pants, a gray sweatshirt and light blue Converse sneakers. She was also carrying a gray bag with the word "pink" written on it.

Cops said Francis made a suicide threat to the staff at Hope for Youth Group Home, which led to her being taken to NUMC. Then, she fled on foot in an unknown direction from the front of the hospital.

She's described as African American, approximately 5-foot-6, 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She has numerous scars on her arms from sores.

If you've seen Francis, please contact your local precinct. Her photo was not provided by police.

The Silver Alert Program has been established in order to disseminate immediate information to local media, hospitals and other organizations when a senior citizen or other individuals suffering from Alzheimer’s disease, dementia or other cognitive disorders goes missing.
