NASSAU COUNTY, NY — Following the new trend of the summer, Nassau County will be offering free drive-in movies for residents in August at Eisenhower Park's new drive-in theater.

The screenings, which begin tonight, will be shown on Tuesday and Thursday nights throughout August. There will be food trucks on site, so moviegoers can get snacks during the films.

“Nostalgic drive-ins, more than half a century after their heyday, are having a revival across the country and Nassau County is happy to embrace the trend with this series of free movie nights under the stars,” said County Executive Laura Curran. “While I am pushing for answers from PSEG and doing everything I can to get thousands of residents back on the power grid, we are jump-starting this series to provide a little entertainment for families — especially those without power and with restless little ones at home.”
