NYU Langone Opens New Health Center In East Meadow

EAST MEADOW, NY — NYU Langone Health has opened its newest medical center in East Meadow, bringing more options to residents in the area.

The new NYU Langone Ambulatory Care East Meadow is a multi-specialty outpatient center located at 1530 Front St. It offers services in neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and physical therapy, as well as imaging and a variety of other services. The facility was built in a renovated former supermarket.

“This new center brings together multiple practices from the region into one centralized location, making it more convenient for patients,” says Andrew Rubin, senior vice president for Clinical Affairs and Ambulatory Care at NYU Langone. “Multispecialty centers also foster collaboration among providers, enhancing their ability to provide individualized care.”

The nearly 50,000 square-foot facility has 60 exam rooms, providing the capacity to care for more than 350 patients daily.

The former supermarket’s open floor plan afforded the flexibility to design the space with an optimal patient experience in mind, NYU Langone said. For instance, patients with foot and ankle injuries — who may experience difficulty walking — receive treatment near the entrance. Additionally, the center offers complimentary valet parking weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The physical therapy gym, which spans 8,500 square feet, features the latest therapeutic equipment, computer-based video motion analysis, as well as a sports performance turf. Physical therapists are available for extended hours Monday to Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The practice is open for orthopedic appointments Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and for neurology and neurosurgery appointments Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m..
