About Pentecost:
In the liturgical services of the feast of Pentecost, the coming of the Holy Spirit (Acts of the Apostles, Chapter 2) is celebrated together with the full revelation of the Holy Trinity. The fullness of the Godhead is manifested with the Spirit’s coming to man, and the Church hymns celebrate this manifestation as the final act of God’s revelation to His creation. For this reason Pentecost Sunday is also called Trinity Day in the Orthodox Tradition. Thus, Pentecost is patronal feast day of Holy Trinity parish.

About Holy Trinity Church:
Holy Trinity Orthodox Church, founded in 1924, was the first Orthodox Christian parish established in the Nassau/Suffolk area. Holy Trinity Church is a parish of the autocephalous Orthodox Church in America. Originally founded by Russian and Eastern European immigrants, the parish now encompasses Orthodox Christians of all traditional Orthodox ethnicities as well as many converts. All services are conducted in English. Holy Trinity Church proclaims the Gospel to all people on Long Island and has been engaged in many local and international philanthropic projects.
