Store Manager Robbed at Gunpoint in Carle Place Parking Lot

A store manager was robbed at gunpoint as she sat in her car Monday morning in a Carle Place parking lot, according to Nassau County Police.

At 9:16 a.m., the 46-year-old victim was in her car outside Dress Barn, located at 190 Glen Cove Rd., when she was approached by a man with a black handgun, police said. The man demanded money from the victim, who cooperated and handed over a red bag containing cash she was about to deposit for the store, cops said.

The man fled on foot and was seen running south on Glen Cove Road, police said. He may have been seen entering a light colored Nissan Pathfinder, officials said.

The victim reportedly escaped unharmed.

Police said the man was between 5-foot-10 and 6-foot and had an average build. He was wearing a black shirt with white stripes, black mask, and dark clothing.
