It's going to be a stormy work week ahead for Long Island. Rain is likely on three of the next five days, according to the National Weather Service.
The rain will come down moderate to briefly heavy at times on Monday. There may also be a rumble of thunder from late morning on. With cloudy skies and rain, temperatures will be below normal for this time of year, in the 60s and lower 70s.

Tuesday- Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before noon. Cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 78. Breezy, with a southwest wind 8 to 13 mph becoming northwest 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
