A Whale of a Coaster
June 17, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. (First Session) and June 24 at 7:00 p.m. (Second Session) - East Meadow Public Library Zoom Meeting
Join us in celebrating the Summer Reading Club by learning how to crochet a whale coaster. Perfect for the summer drink of your choice as you relax with a great summer read. In this project, you will learn to crochet in the round using a number of different stitches. Participants will be provided with enough yarn to make the coaster, a crochet hook, a needle, and a paperclip to act as a stitch holder. There will be enough blue and white yarn to make a face, but other items to decorate the whale are left to the participant. The first session will be to learn to make the coaster section, and the second session will be to turn it into a whale. Basic crochet skills and stitches will be taught.
