New York State has established this schedule for testing students in the elementary and immediate levels in the 2012-2013 school year. See the attached file.
"An effort has been made to avoid scheduling the administration of State exams on religious holidays. Where a conflict exists, make-up dates are provided so that students who miss the initial dates due to a religious holiday may still participate in these tests," the state Education Department said.
