FARMINGDALE, NY — Art lovers, rejoice!

Farmingdale’s ninth "Art In The Park Outdoor Show, Exhibit & Sale / Cultural Arts Day" is coming to Main Street's Village Green on Sunday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Farmingdale Village announced.

The event, which is free to attend, will feature an art show, exhibit, sale, Clothesline Art and live entertainment.

Over 30 artists are expected to attend, including Elaine Faith Thompson and Emma’s Journey.

The release referred to Thompson as a "legendary Long Island artist" whose artwork has been commissioned and recognized by levels of government. Her paintings include the 2009 U.S. Open Bethpage Golf Tournament, the 2019 PGA Championship, LI Lighthouses and more.

Emma, a Farmingdale student dedicated to helping type 1 diabetics purchase diabetic alert dogs, will exhibit and sell her artwork alongside Rufus, her diabetic alert dog.

Many artists will be exhibiting, including Live Art with The Tiny Artist Studio. Come see these special Long Island artists, and support Emma’s Journey.

The event is being organized by the Women’s Club of Farmingdale and the Farmingdale Cultural Arts Committee. The rain date is Sept. 22, and you can call 516-249-0093 for more information.
