Crash Sends Car Into Bethpage Mosque; 2 Drivers Injured

BETHPAGE, NY — A car was sent into the deck of a mosque in Bethpage following a crash on Tuesday morning.

Members of the Bethpage Volunteer Fire Department and Nassau County Police Department arrived to the intersection of Stewart and Central avenues shortly after the collision was reported at 7:35 a.m., officials said. They found one car in the intersection, while the other left the road and struck the deck of the Masjid Al- Baqi Mosque, located at 320 Central Ave.

Both drivers were injured and brought to nearby hospitals.
