Dalers Defeat Massapequa, Remain Undefeated

Farmingdale scores 27 unanswered points in the second half to go 4-0 on the season.

The first half of the long-standing rivalry between Massapequa and Farmingdale was an evenly matched affair, ending with the Chiefs leading the Dalers 8-6.

That all changed in the second half when Farmingdale's offense got into high gear, led by standouts Curtis Jenkins and Mike Scheuerer, as the Dalers beat the Chiefs, 33-8 Saturday.

On a sun-drenched field before hundreds of fans on both sides, Jenkins scored three touchdowns and ran for 179 yards, while Scheuerer scored two touchdowns and completed nine of 10 passes for more than 130 yards.

The second half's scoring barrage of 27 unanswered points, coupled with Farmingdale's stiffened defense, kept the Dalers undefeated in Nassau Conference I at 4-0.

Massapequa fell to 3-1 on the season.
