Farmingdale Best Market Closes; Lidl Incoming
The German supermarket chain is hoping to open its Farmingdale location by early 2021.
FARMINGDALE, NY — Lidl, a German supermarket, is coming to Farmingdale following the closure of Best Market.
Lidl is slated to open in early 2021 following a comprehensive remodeling of the 501 Northwest Dr. location, according to a spokesman. Best Market closed in September.
Lidl US announced its deal to acquire Best Market in late 2018, Supermarket News reported. Following the deal, Best Market stores were converted into Lidl.
