Celebrate tonight's New Year's a few hours early with your family at this Farmingdale event.
FARMINGDALE, NY — Farmingdale Village will celebrate New Year's a few hours early with a free family-friendly event scheduled for Tuesday evening.
Meet at the Village Green, at 361 Main St., Farmingdale, from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. where there will be hot chocolate, a camp fire, glow sticks and noisemakers. Farmingdale's own Electric Dudes will be performing live band music.
Mayor Ralph Ekstrand will countdown to an 8:30 p.m. ball drop so the kids have a chance to ring in the New Year.

Residents are encouraged to drink and dine locally on Main Street before and after the event.
The event is sponsored by Village Merchant’s Association, Farmingdale Chamber of Commerce and The Village of Farmingdale.
