FARMINGDALE, NY—The Long Island Railroad began its reconstruction of the Farmingdale station's South Parking Lot on Monday.

The anticipated completion is August 19, the LIRR stated. The parking lot will remain closed until then. Taxi parking will be on Atlantic Avenue, and pick up and drop offs will be on Secatogue Avenue and South Front Street. All sidewalks on the south side adjacent to the tracks and ticket office will be open.

The reconstruction will entail work on drainage, lighting, irrigation, curbing and paving.
