Farmingdale Memorial Day Parade 2017: What You Need To Know

Check out what you need to know before head to the Farmingdale memorial day parade this holiday weekend.

This weekend is Memorial Day weekend -- the unofficial start of summer. That means there will be barbecues, parties and of course, parades.

In Farmingdale, the annual parade will be once again be held this weekend. The annual event will be hosted by the Veterans of Foreign Wars. In addition to the parade a short service will follow.

Date: Monday, May 29

Time: 10 a.m.

Starting point: The parade will begin on Thomas Powell Boulevard and Yoakum Street on Bethpage Road.

Parade route: The parade will travel south down Main Street.

Ending point: The parade will end on the Village Green where a memorial service will be held.

Cost: Free

Weather: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after noon.
