Farmingdale Resident New Math Professor at Farmingdale State College

Svetlana Tlupova, a resident of Farmingdale, has joined the faculty of Farmingdale State College as an assistant professor of mathematics.

Svetlana Tlupova, a resident of Farmingdale, has joined the faculty of Farmingdale State College as an assistant professor of mathematics.

Dr. Tlupova joins Farmingdale’s School of Arts & Sciences out of the University of Michigan, where she taught for three years, and the New Jersey Institute of Technology. She also worked in the private sector, at Epic Systems Corporation, where she was a software developer. She holds a PhD in Mathematics and an MS in Applied Mathematics from Tulane University, and a BS in Applied Mathematics from Kabardino-Balkar State University in Russia.

Dr. Tlupova has published in numerous professional journals and presented at conferences throughout the U.S. and Canada, including Philadelphia, San Antonio, Manhattan, New Orleans and Vancouver. Her research interests include Mathematical Biology, Scientific Computing and Numerical Analysis.
