Farmingdale Resident Wins Graphic Design Award
Farmingdale State College Professor Wins Prestigious National Award
Jack Harris, a resident of Farmingdale and assistant professor of Art and Graphic Design at Farmingdale State College, is a winner in the 53rd Annual American Graphic Design Awards, given by Graphic Design USA.
Harris joins an elite group of winners. Nearly 10,000 entries were submitted for the competition, and only 15 percent were given awards.
Harris has won other awards for his work as an illustrator/graphic designer, from The Society of Illustrators, The Society of Publication Designers, Print Magazine and Communication Arts magazine. Graphic Design USA named him a “Designer to Watch” in 2000. His work has been presented at 20 solo exhibitions.
