Farmingdale Village Election Postponed Due To Coronavirus

The election will now happen in late April.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Election Day in Farmingdale Village has been postponed due to the spread of the new coronavirus. The election will now be held April 28 from noon to 9 p.m. at Village Hall at 361 Main St., Farmingdale. It was originally scheduled for Wednesday.

All Village elections in New York State were postponed in an effort to keep confirmed cases of COVID-19 down, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday.

The Farmingdale Village election was to see incumbent mayor Ralph Ekstrand take on former mayor George "Butch" Starkie.

Village Hall will also be closed to the public for an indefinite period. The Village asks that payments are mailed or inserted into the drop box to the left of the building.
