Gino's Pizza In Farmingdale To Close

The pizzeria said it lost its lease and will close in Farmingdale later December after nearly four decades in business.

FARMINGDALE, NY — Gino's Pizza of Farmingdale, a long-time staple of the community, announced it will serve its last slice in Farmingdale later this month. After nearly 40 years, the pizzeria will close on Dec. 22, it announced on Facebook.

According to Gino's, the company lost its lease to remain at its 333 Main St. spot.

"We have exhausted every effort to remain in Farmingdale, but unfortunately these efforts were unsuccessful," Gino's wrote in its post. "We want to sincerely thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you all these years, allowing us to be part of your pizza night tradition from one generation to the next. We feel so fortunate for your patronage, dedication, and friendship all these years and in sharing this journey together - for this we are forever grateful."

However, this isn't the end of Gino's. The pizzeria recently relocated elsewhere: 90 Route 109, West Babylon.

"We hope you come and see us in our new location for your favorite pizza!," Gino's wrote. "Thank you for everything, Farmingdale."
