FARMINGDALE, NY — Burger Village has come to Farmingdale, giving residents the chance to try organic food and a variety of exotic meats. The new eatery opened in Republic Plaza at 901 Broadhollow Road on Dec. 14.

Burger Village slings patties made from the standard beef, but things get fun from there. Elk, bison, boar, lamb and ostrich are just a few options between the buns. There are also vegan options, including the "Beyond" and "Impossible" burgers. Salads, sandwiches, soups, wraps, fries, organic hand-spun shakes and Maine root soda round out the menu.

The mini-chain was founded in 2013 by four Long Island brothers: Nick, Sam, Vick and Ravi Yadav. Farmingdale became the second Burger Village on Long Island and the seventh overall.
