Indoor Thrills: Go-Kart Track Opening in Farmingdale

The indoor 120,000-square-foot all-electric go-kart facility opens it doors on Wednesday, July 23.

Thrill-seekers will soon have a new venue to test their sense of adventure, starting Wednesday, July 23. 

That’s when Pole Position Raceway, a 120,000-square-foot indoor all-electric go-kart facility opens for business at 40 Daniel Street in Farmingdale.

Owned by husband-and-wife franchisees, Eyal Farage and Karen Davis-Farage, the Farmingdale venture is expected to bring 50 jobs to the local economy. The couple owns three additional sites in New York and New Jersey.

Pole Position Raceway features two quarter-mile tracks, where karts can travel as fast as 45 miles per hour. 

There are adult karts for racers who 58 inches and taller and separate junior karts for kids who are at least 48 inches. And because the karts use electric technology, there are no fumes, and are said to be "clean and green."

“Indoor karting is one of the fastest growing forms of family entertainment in the country,” said Davis-Farage, president and co-owner of the Pole Position Raceway franchise. 

“After extensive research, we found an excellent location on Long Island that allowed us to build a state-of-the-art kart racing facility that racers have come to expect from the Pole Position Raceway brand,” she added.

The venue offers options for everyone from families to “die hard” racers. It offers “Arrive & Drive” racing for those seeking to race against others. Pre-scheduled racing events are for groups of 10 or more, and culminate in winners’ circle-style medals. Also available are racing memorabilia, arcade games, concessions and spaces for private parties, celebrations, corporate events and fundraisers.

The franchisees already own locations in Jersey City, Syracuse and Buffalo.

“We are happy to continue our expansion in the New York area and look forward to bringing our authentic, exhilarating and safe kart racing experience to Long Island,” Davis-Farage said.

The company is also looking to work with and raise funds for Long Island charitable causes.
