LI Conference On Aging And Cannabis To Be Held In Farmingdale

The conference, open to the public, will feature the science behind cannabis use for the aging.

FARMINGDALE, NY — A Long Island conference about the use of cannabis is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 4. "Aging & Cannabis: The Business, Politics, Law & Science of Cannabis" will be presented at The Heritage Club at Bethpage, located at 99 Quaker Meeting House Road, Farmingdale. The luncheon and conference will run from 12:30 to 4 p.m., and there will be an hour for cocktails and networking from 4 to 5 p.m.

The 2016 National Survey on Drug Use and Health showed a 10-fold increase in cannabis use among adults over age 65, said a spokesman on behalf of Genser Cona Elder Law, the Melville-based law firm hosting the conference.
