
FARMINGDALE, NY — The Long Island Railroad will be performing track maintenance in Farmingdale throughout June, according to the LIRR. Upcoming work is an ongoing initiative to renew track infrastructure assets, improve safety and on-time performance, the LIRR said.
The LIRR will be renewing Secatogue Avenue, Clinton Street, Main Street, Elizabeth Street grade crossings on the following days:
- The #2 track at Clinton Road is scheduled to be worked on from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 9.
- The #1 track at Clinton Road is scheduled for 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 24.
- The #2 track at Secatogue is slated to be done 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 30.
- Track #2 at Main Street is scheduled to be worked on from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 2.
All dates and times are subject to change.

Each grade crossing will be closed to traffic for the times specified above, but may take a second day to complete. Paving will come next, with the dates to be determined.
