Long Island Isn’t Very Kinky, Study Finds

Upstate New York dominated Long Island in the "10 Kinkiest Cities in New York" list by RoadSnacks. Only one Long Island town made the cut.

Being from Long Island, we usually think we’re better than the Upstate New York folk. I mean, studies have found Long Island to be snobbier, sexier and better for families.

On the other hand, different rankings have found us to be boring, so maybe that explains why Upstate New York totally dominated us in the “10 Kinkiest Cities in New York” list by RoadSnacks. Only one Long Island town made the cut.

The "kinkiest" list was based on a RoadSnacks survey that checked to see which cities in New York purchased the most sex toys from online erotic adult toy and novelty powerhouse Adam & Eve. "It’s pretty easy to figure it out, actually, when you know where people are buying adult toys," according to the site.

That data was calculated on a per capita basis, meaning these are orders on a per-person basis, not a raw number of total money spent or number of orders.

The site only looked at 128 towns in New York with a population of more than 5,000 people.
