Man Who Burglarized 3 Farmingdale-Area Homes Arrested: Police
A father returned home with his daughter and found the burglar inside his home, police say.

FARMINGDALE, NY — An East Meadow man who burglarized at least three homes between Farmingdale and North Massapequa on Wednesday was arrested, Nassau police said.
A man returned to his Hemlock Drive home with his daughter after picking her up from the school bus stop when he found Nicholas Fileccia, 38, inside, police said. The man, who does not know Fileccia, called 911 immediately, police said. Eighth Precinct officers arrested Fileccia around 3 p.m.
Fileccia also burglarized homes on Lawrence Street in Farmingdale and North Wyoming Avenue in North Massapequa on Wednesday, police said. Residents were home during both burglaries, police said.

Fileccia was charged with three counts of second-degree burglary and three counts of possession of burglary tools. He is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday in Mineola.
