'The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel' Holding Open Casting On Long Island

The popular show on Amazon is looking for men to portray 1950s soldiers for a shoot on March 27.

"The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel," the popular show on Amazon Prime, is coming to Farmingdale to film, and is looking for local men to act as extras.

A casting call went out Wednesday for men to work on the third season of the show. The show is looking for men of all ethnicities, ages 18 to in their 40s. They need to be OK getting a 1950s-style military haircut and being clean shaven. You also need to be comfortable workig around atmospheric smoke and not have a wool allergy. The shoot is set for Wednesday, March 27.

Non-union actors, as well as members of the Screen Actors Guild, can apply for the position. Non-union extras will earn $210 for what is expected to be a 12-hour day. SAG members will earn SAG rates.

  • What forms of ID you can bring to set to fill out an I9?
  • If you worked on Season 2 of the show, when and as what?
  • Confirm you are local to the Tri State area
  • Are you okay getting a 1950s Military haircut?
  • Are you okay being clean shaven?
  • Do you have any visible tattoos?
  • Would you need the van from Manhattan to get to set or can you self report to Farmingdale?
  • Please attach current, candid photos. Need to see current hair style and length. One photo should be full body.
