Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In East Farmingdale Crash
The motorcyclist was thrown off the bike while trying to pass a car on Sunday afternoon, police say.
EAST FARMINGDALE, NY — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in an East Farmingdale crash on Sunday, Suffolk police said.
A 60-year-old Centereach woman was driving a 2006 Honda Pilot westbound on Conklin Street and tried to make a left-hand turn into St. Charles/Resurrection Cemeteries when the vehicle was struck by a 2001 Honda motorcycle being driven by Marcos Zavala-Maldonado, 23, of Wyandanch, who was attempting to pass her on the left side, police said. Zavala-Maldonado was thrown from the motorcycle, police said.
Zavala-Maldonado is in serious condition at Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, police said.

The Honda driver is being treated for injuries that are not life-threatening.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks.
