Northside Elementary Students Visit Fire Marshal
Students learning concepts of forensic studies.

Farmingdale's Northside Elementary School students recently visited the Nassau County Office of the Fire Marshal to learn about crime studies and concepts of interdisciplinary forensic studies.
The third, fourth and fifth graders took part in interactive programs on site, including an activity where students experienced the forensics of fire.
The students also learned about the importance of trained animals and their role in detecting ignitable liquids that are commonly used in arson-related crimes.Â
