Overnight Closures Expected On Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway
One or two lanes on the northbound Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway could be closed overnight until the fall.
TOWN OF OYSTER BAY, NY — Drivers can expect overnight closures on the northbound Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway (State Route 135) in the Town of Oyster Bay for awhile.
Starting the week of July 15, one or two lanes may be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. between exit 7 (Hempstead Turnpike/State Route 24) and exit 14 (Jericho Turnpike/State Route 25), the NYS Department of Transportation announced Thursday. Entrance and exit ramps in the work zone may also be closed. These closures are expected to be completed in the fall.
Workers will be resurfacing the road, performing drainage repairs and installing a new concrete median, part of a $15.9 million rehabilitation project. Electronic signs will alert drivers of additional closure information.
