Southern State And Bethpage Parkway Ramps Closed Saturday
Officials say the ramps connecting the two roadways will be closed Saturday morning so crews can work safely.
Two ramps connecting the Southern State Parkway and the Bethpage State Parkway will be completely closed on Saturday, officials say.
The Department of Transportation says that the ramp from the eastbound Southern State Parkway to the northbound Bethpage State Parkway (exit 31), and the ramp from the southbound Bethpage to the eastbound Southern State will be completely closed from 6 a.m. to noon. There will also be no access to Linden Street from the eastbound Southern State at exit 31.
Officials say the closure is necessary to make a safe work zone while crews perform guide rail and crash cushion repairs.

Drivers should use the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expressway as an alternate.
