1 Teen Dead, 3 Injured In Southern State Crash
The two-car crash closed the road for hours Wednesday afternoon as police investigated. Police say all four of the teens were from Queens.

UPDATE, 10:30 P.M.: State police say that one teen from Queens and three others were injured in the crash, which shut down the Southern State Parkway for hours on Wednesday.
According to police, a 2005 Toyota Sienna being driven by Aaron Jagroop, 18, of South Ozone Park, was driving east on the Southern State wast of Exit 35 when it made contact with a 2014 Toyota Camry traveling in the center lane. Jagroop lost control of the car and drove off the road, through the right shoulder and into a tree. The Camry was able to pull over onto the shoulder.
Jagroop was taken to good Samaritan Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

Two passengers in his car -- Shania Seenarine, 16, of South Ozone Park, and Kevin Khemraj, 15, of Jamaica -- were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and Stony Brook University Hospital, respectively, and each are in critical condition. A fourth passenger in the car, Brandon Dianand, 19, of South Oxone Park, was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Camry was not injured.

State police are still investigating the crash, and are asking anyone who may have seen it to contact State Police Troop L Headquarters at (631) 756-3300. All calls will remain confidential.
UPDATE, 6 P.M.: State police say that the eastbound lanes of the Southern State Parkway are still closed as officers investigate a fatal accident.
According to police, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. between two cars. The driver of one of the cars died, and two passengers in the car were also critically injured. A third passenger in the car suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police still have not released the cause of the accident. No charges have yet been filed.
ORIGINAL STORY: The eastbound Southern State Parkway has been closed in Babylon as emergency crews respond to a serious accident.
According to reports, multiple people were injured in the crash and at least one person was ejected from a vehicle. The crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
The road is closed eastbound between exits 34 and 35. The left and center lanes are also closed westbound.
Police helicopters were on the scene to airlift injured away. There are no details yet as to how many people were hurt or what caused the crash.
