WALK 97.5's New Morning Show Hosts Live In Connecticut

WALK 97.5 FM has a new morning show. “The Anna and Raven Show” will debut on Jan. 2, Connoisseur Media announced Thursday.

Anna Zap and Jay Raven have been the hosts of the top-rated show in Bridgeport, Conn. on Connoisseur sister station Star 99.9 (WEZN) for the last four years.

"Anna and Raven are a couple of the most relatable and dynamic personalities in the business," Connoisseur Media Long Island Operations Manager Patrick Shea said. "We’re thrilled to be able to welcome them into the Long Island community."

Jamie Morris has been hosting WALK's morning show solo since Mark Daniels was let go last month. Daniels, 63, had been with WALK for 34 years.

"It's been a lot of fun but the business is the business," Daniels told Newsday last month. "I sadly certainly wasn't prepared for it."

WALK listeners had a tepid reaction to new morning show announcement. Many of the comments on WALK's Facebook page Thursday read like this one: "Not interested. Always enjoyed Mark and Cindy, and then Mark and Jamie. Haven't tuned into WALK since Mark was let go."
