Zorn's Bethpage New Store Keeps Family & Traditions Legacy Alive

Bethpage, NY; May 23, 2019 – After over 80 years in business, Zorn's of Bethpage, one of Long Island's iconic family businesses, has started a new era with the opening of its new store and building. The new Zorn's of Bethpage, located directly next to the former iconic building on Hempstead Turnpike, has been serving customers and creating family traditions for decades.

Owner Merrill S. Zorn welcomed the first customers to the new store on May 8, 2019. The new store maintains the iconic Zorn's of Bethpage look, design and feel. The recognizable white and blue colors, familiar to customers, remains the same. Historic photos and memorabilia from the business are featured on the walls and throughout the store. In response to customer requests, the store includes a dining area.
"We are focusing on 'Old traditions with new beginnings,' as we open this new chapter in the history of Zorn's of Bethpage," said Merrill. "The entire design, build and move-in process has been emotional for me and my staff. Now we are in the new building and I am so happy that every one of our staff members – who I consider family – are here with me."

Many Long Islanders have made Zorn's of Bethpage part of their family traditions for holidays and special occasions for decades. The transition to a new and efficient designed building secures the family legacy and allows the traditions to carry on. The 8,000 square foot building will also be the new home to Zorn's of Bethpage's corporate and special event catering services.
"Everything Long Islanders have come to know and love about Zorn's of Bethpage – our quality, freshness, home style recipes and friendly staff – are all exactly the same. I hope that our customers will like the layout of the store and how we have tried to keep the same look and feel," added Merrill.

Zorn's of Bethpage serves dozens of different dishes and sides prepared fresh every day by hand for customers. Among favorites are Zorn's of Bethpage's famous, award-winning fried and rotisserie chicken, turkey dinners, BBQ ribs, handmade garlic mashed potatoes, apple pie, chicken pot pie and many others. Fresh chickens are available every day and fresh turkeys can also be purchased with one day advanced ordering.

"It was very important to me to have my family involved in this effort. The excavation of the building site and construction of the new building were managed by my cousins, Kevin and Michael Zorn of Zorn Industries. I can't thank them enough," Merrill commented.
