Five Towns Residents Named to SUNY Cortland Fall 2011 Dean's List

The following area residents were named to the Dean's List at SUNY Cortland for the Fall 2011 semester:

Caitlin Stroke, a sophomore Communication Studies major from Lawrence, N.Y.

Matthew Bishop, a sophomore Biology major from Valley Stream, N.Y.

Michelle Citron, a junior Childhood Education major from Valley Stream, N.Y.

Connor Gillespie, a sophomore Childhood Education major from Valley Stream, N.Y.

Alexa de la Torre, a freshman Inclusive Special Education major from Valley Stream, N.Y.

Kaitlin Doyle, a senior Professional Writing major from Woodmere, N.Y.

Honorees must earn a grade point average of 3.3 or higher on a 4.0 scale, while completing 12 or more credit hours of classes during the semester.

More than 7,300 students are pursuing degrees within the College's 61 undergraduate and 33 graduate academic majors. SUNY Cortland is home to the largest undergraduate teacher education program in the Northeast.
