1. Jeff Bessen has another deeper dive in the May 27 action against antisemitism rally in Cedarhurst. He talked to Marty Rosen, a Hewlett Harbor resident who is a former mayor of Lawrence and who knew Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, about how to battle antisemitic ideas and rhetoric. (LI Herald)
2. Jerry Barmash has an update on a new vaccination incentive. A new pop-up COVID-19 vaccine site at this weekend's Belmont Stakes comes with a perk. Recipients of the single-dose Johnson & Johnson shot will also receive a free general admission ticket to next year's Belmont Stakes. (Patch)

3. Jeff Bessen also has the story on a recent event to remember "unofficial Inwood mayor" Pete Sobol, a businessman and community organizer who died in February. Attendees gathered to remember Sobol and his many community efforts, including with the Community Center and the Five Towns Community Center’s Police Athletic League program. (LI Herald)
4. A Valley Stream resident helped create new anti-bullying legislation along with State Senator Todd Kaminsky. Lisa-Michelle Kucharz is a cyberbullying survivor-turned-advocate. The bill would create a task force to assess cyberbullying and look for solutions. (LI Herald)
5. Lawrence Grammer, 74, was convicted of murdering his co-worker in a Glen Head auto shop. The jury found Grammer guilty of second-degree murder and a weapons charge for the killing of Bashir "Bobby" Ward, 35, from Valley Stream. (Newsday)

- Valley Stream Central High School junior Emily Monfort won first place at the Long Island Youth Summit out of 170 students. The participants were asked to develop a solution to a current environmental, socio-medical and socio-economic problem. Monfort's project addressed youth mental health during the pandemic. (Newsday)
