- Jerry Barmash has the story on a fuel tanker that overturned on the Nassau Expressway yesterday morning. The driver survived but the fuel leak lead to traffic jams as the road had to be closed from Bay Boulevard to Mott Avenue. (Patch)
- Tropical Storm Elsa means Long Island will be hit with rain and possibly strong winds Thursday, along with a high danger of rip currents. Find out what to do to avoid and survive the dangerous currents. (Patch)
- The Town of Hempstead announced a sunscreen initiative at Hewlett Point Park last week. The town partnered with Mount Sinai South Nassau Hospital in Oceanside to install free sunscreen dispensers at town beaches and pools. (LI Herald)
- In case you missed it, News 12 looks at efforts by Nassau Legislator Arnold Drucker and other Nassau Democrats to create a task force to combat antisemitism in Nassau County. The task force would have 12 lawmakers and community leaders who would gather facts about the extent of antisemitism in Nassau. (News 12)

- A donor recruitment drive is being held for a local resident who is battling Chronic Myelomonocytic Leukemia (CMML) and is in dire need of a blood stem cell transplant. Gift of Life Marrow Registry is hoping to find a genetic match for Shlomo in the Ashkenazi community. The drive will be Sunday, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. at Hebrew Academy of the 5 Towns (HAFTR) High School.
