Burglaries in North Woodmere and DWI Arrests, June 10-19

The following information was supplied by the Nassau County Police Department. A criminal charge is only an accusation, and does not indicate convictions.

Nassau County Police reports the following unoccupied burglaries and attempted burglary:

  • An unknown person(s) on June 15 between 8:35 and 11:15 p.m. entered a Glenridge Avenue home in North Woodmere and removed a safe.

  • An unknown person(s) on June 15 between 7 and 11:25 p.m. entered a Michelle Place in North Woodmere and stole jewelry.

  • An unknown person on June 16 at 5:10 a.m. unsuccessfully attempted to enter an East Broadway home in Woodmere.

    The Fourth Precinct reports the following incidents of theft:

    • An unknown suspect(s) between June 10 and 11 took a set of headphones from the complainant's vehicle, which was parked on Robert Road in Inwood. No damage to the vehicle was reported.

  • A complainant reported to police that on June 13, she left her pocketbook in a shopping cart while shopping in the Green Acres Mall and an unknown suspect(s) stole it.

  • A complainant reported to police on June 14 that he discovered money was missing from his wallet, which was locked in a locker at the Retro Fitness in Hewlett.

  • An unknown suspect(s) on June 15 stole the complainant's pocketbook from a counter at the Macy’s in Green Acres Mall.

  • The Fourth Precinct reports the following incidents of mischief:

    • A complainant reported to police on June 11 that she discovered damage to her vehicle's tires and door locks at Bayview Avenue and Russell Place in Inwood.

    • An unknown suspect(s) between June 12 and 13 broke a mirror and scratched the complainant's 2004 Hyundai, which was parked on Westervelt Place in Hewlett.

    • An unknown suspect(s) between June 15 and 16 broke the windshield of the complainant's 2001 blue Nissan, which was parked on Wingate Road in Valley Stream.

    The Fourth Precinct reports that the following individuals were arrested and charged with DWI:

    • Jeffrey Schutzman, 66, of Woodmere, at West Broadway and Woodmere Boulevard in Woodmere on June 14

    • Kelvin Ray, 52, of Staten Island, at Nassau Expressway and Rock Hall Road in Lawrence on June 16

    The Fourth Precinct reports that the following individuals were arrested and charged with shoplifting:

    • Yvonne Deonarine, 31, of Queens Village, at the Macy’s in Green Acres Mall on June 10

  • Mariah Robles, 17, of Elmont, at the Kohl’s in Green Acres Mall on June 11

  • Gilberto Torres, 65, of Queens Village, at the Sears in Green Acres Mall on June 12

  • Terri Torres, 20, of Jamaica, at the Sears in Green Acres Mall on June 12

  • Ashley Fraser, 22, and Nekeia White, 29, both of Brooklyn, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on June 12

  • Aida Bermeo, 37, of Valley Stream, at the Kohl’s in Green Acres Mall on June 13

  • Kimberlene Levy, 24, of Jamaica, at the JC Penney in Green Acres Mall on June 13

  • Kenroy Brown, 20, of Jamaica, at the Sears in Green Acres Mall on June 15

  • Joseph Davis, 62, of Jamaica, at the JC Penney in Green Acres Mall on June 15

  • Luria Alvarez, 37, of Far Rockaway, at the JC Penney in Green Acres Mall on June 15

  • Otilia Coyoc, 51, and Natalie Ramsarran, 35, both of Hollis, at the JC Penney in Green Acres Mall on June 15

  • Even Medina, 25, of Lynbrook, at the Kohl’s in Green Acres Mall on June 16

  • Alicia St Clair, 26, of Rosedale, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on June 17

  • Tunishia Welch, 37, of Jamaica, at the Walmart in Green Acres Mall on June 17
