Chametz Burning and Extra Sanitation Services Monday

Safely get rid of unwanted items before the start of Passover.

The Woodmere Fire Department invites residents to safely burn their chametz on Monday morning at their Irving Place headquarters.

The burning will take place between 7 and 11:30 a.m. on March 25 and be conducted by firefighters. Chametz items should be brought in plastic bags, which then should be removed before being placed in the fire.

"Please do not take the chance and burn it at home," reads the Woodmere FD website.
