Community Garden Kickoff, School Events

Here are some things happening this week:

• There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Monday at 3:30 p.m. to officially launch the Hewlett-Woodmere Public Schools Community Garden Learning Center (across from Hewlett High School).
  
• Library events: Art Lecture: The Frick Collection, Tuesday at 1 p.m.; Film: Before Sunrise, Wednesday at 7 p.m.; Words & Numbers with Ben Eilbott, Thursday at 7 p.m.
• Hewlett-Woodmere Schools events: High High School Back to School Night, Monday at 6 p.m.; SEPTA Panel, Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.; Franklin Pre-K Back to School Night, Thursday at 6 p.m.
• Lawrence Schools events: High School College Awareness Night, Tuesday at 7 p.m.; Welcome to School Night - Kindergarten, Wednesday at 7 p.m.; Middle School Back to School Night, Thursday at 7 p.m.
• The Inwood Civic Association will meet on Thursday at 8 p.m.
