Cops: Inwood Sex Offender Uploaded Child Pornography

The man was out on bail for a similar charge when he uploaded the material to his email account, police said.

An Inwood sex offender was charged Wednesday with uploading child pornography to his personal email accounts, according to Nassau County Police.

Levorn Mays Jr., who has a history of charges against him for possession of child pornography in Nassau County, uploaded child pornography to his Gmail and Dropbox accounts, officials said.

Agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Long Island Child Exploitation Task Force took Mays into custody at 8 a.m., cops said.

Mays was out on bail at the time of his latest arrest after he faced similar charges on March 11, cops said.

Mays faces federal charges of distribution of child pornography. He was arraigned Wednesday at U.S. District Court in Central Islip.
