Long Island Railroad trains from Penn Station to Far Rockaway have been suspended due to a broken rail in one of Amtrak's East River tunnels, according to the MTA.
The agency said that Amtrak crews are on the scene and expect to complete temporary repairs within the next 90 minutes.Â
Far Rockaway and Hempstead eastbound service is operating out of Atlantic Terminal, reachable via the 2 and 3 subway lines. Westbound LIRR service is suspended from Jamaica to Penn Station. NYC Transit is cross-honoring fares at selected points," says an MTA bulletin.
